About the position

The New Richmond Community Library is accepting applicants for a 8-12-hour/week Library Shelver. The position of Library shelver is responsible for shelving of library materials, shelf maintenance, performing clerical tasks and keeping the library neat and orderly. The work is performed under direct supervision and requires no prior knowledge of library procedures.

Key responsibilities

  • Sort, shelve, relocate, and search for library materials.
  • Read shelves for accuracy of order, re-shelving materials as needed.
  • Straighten materials located on all library shelves.

Qualifications

  • Physical stamina, including the ability to lift, bend and stay on one’s feet for extended periods.

Minimum requirements

Must be 16 years of age or older.
