This May, Friday Memorial Library is hosting an event in collaboration with the Richard I. Bong Center to collect the personal stories of local veterans to be preserved and shared. During this two-day event, volunteers will conduct and record one-hour interviews with veterans about their service. Following the interview, each participant will receive a recording. Copies will also be used for Richard I. Bong Center exhibits, the New Richmond Library, Recollection Wisconsin and more.
At this time, we are gathering information from local veterans that would be interested in participating May 22 & 23, 2023. Due to limited space, it is our goal to prioritize older veterans and represent a variety of service branches. We ask all interested parties to fill out this interest form.
