Thursday, June 20 from 2:00-3:30 pm
at Hatfield Park Boat Landing

Join the expert staff of Wild Rivers Conservancy for an introduction to kayaking at Hatfield Lake. Together with a small group of peers and two trained instructors, you will learn the basics of properly fitting a life jacket, how to hold your paddle, and common paddling techniques. Once you are in the kayak on the water, you will get the chance to practice your new skills as you paddle along the shoreline. Before you know it, you will be ready to explore the lake at your own pace.

This class includes use of a kayak, paddle, and PFD, and is suitable for children ages 12 and up. No previous paddling experience is required. Participants should come dressed appropriately for the weather and the activity.

Registration is required; registration is complete once parents/guardians submit the waiver form available at the library.
